Alex Jesaulenko Medal

 Introduction:

• Awarded in recognition of the best mark taken during the AFL season
• Named in honour of former league player whose mark during the 1970 VFL Grand Final is often called “The Mark of the Century”, Alex Jesaulenko
• First awarded in 1970
• Currently known as the Four’N Twenty AFL Mark of the Year

 Voting:

• After each round, 3 nominations for the Mark of the Week are determined by a panel of football experts
• The public votes for the weekly winner on the AFL website
• At the end of the season the winner is chosen by the All-Australian selection committee from all nominated marks, whether they won the weekly vote or not
