• An honorary representative team that recognises the best young talent in the AFL and AFLW
• First awarded in 2013 (AFL) and 2020 (AFLW)
• AFL: A retrospective team was selected for 2012 in the lead-up to the inaugural team
• AFLW: A retrospective team was selected for the 2017 – 2019 seasons

 Voting:

• An initial squad is selected by the AFLPA
• Fans select the final team of 22 by voting via social media

 Criteria:

• Players must be aged 22 or under for the entire season, including finals
