- An honorary representative team that recognises the best young talent in the AFL and AFLW
- First awarded in 2013 (AFL) and 2020 (AFLW)
- AFL: A retrospective team was selected for 2012 in the lead-up to the inaugural team
- AFLW: A retrospective team was selected for the 2017 – 2019 seasons
Voting:
- An initial squad of 40 is selected by the AFLPA
- Fans select the final team of 22 by voting via social media
Criteria:
- Players must be aged 22 or under for the entire season, including finals
