A.R. McLean Medal

 Introduction:

• Awarded to the club’s best and fairest SANFL player
• Named in honour of former player and long-term administrator, Bob McLean
• Known at various times as “Leading Player”, “Best All-Round Player”, “Fairest and Most Brilliant Player” or “Best and Fairest”, it was renamed from Season 1997 onwards following the Power’s entrance to the AFL

 Exceptions:

• Not awarded in 1916, 1917 and 1918 due to the SAFL being in recess during World War I
• Not awarded in 1942, 1943 and 1944 as the club did not participate in the SANFL during World War II
• Not awarded in 2020 due to the club being banned from the SANFL

 Voting:

• All club SANFL coaches vote on their top players on a 0-5 basis per game
• A player can be awarded from a maximum of 20 votes to a minimum of 0 votes per game
